The NHS reports that Dementia is a growing challenge. As the population ages and people live for longer, it has become one of the most important health and care issues facing the world. In England it is estimated that around 676,000 people have Dementia. In the whole of the UK, the number of people with Dementia is estimated at 850,000.

There is a considerable economic cost associated with the disease estimated at £23 billion a year, which is predicted to triple by 2040. This is more than the cost of cancer, heart disease and stroke.

How your Rainbow Care franchise works for you

You’ll offer a day care service providing an amazing day of friendship, variety and gentle activity for people with Dementia. Each group typically has 10 - 12 people per group managed by a small team of carers and yourself or a manager. Each day is very carefully choreographed centred around the needs and interests of the group and all food and drink is provided.

Each group meets at the same venue, on the same day at the same time each week. Some venues run several days each week. Those that attend are picked up and dropped off by one of our colourful mini buses or they are dropped off by family or others at the venue.

We’re looking for people with genuine compassion, good project management skills and the entrepreneurial flair to scale a business running several venues at the same time. To make this possible we’ll commit to granting you an exclusive territory at the outset.

Training and support provided

Our role is to teach you how to prepare, launch and establish your franchise. Even though our business appears a relatively simple format there is a huge amount to learn. It will take a minimum of 14 days to train you and help you to launch the service in your area. During this time our commitment to you is absolute, we’ll work together in live situations and our digital marketing team will unleash their marketing aimed specifically at your area.

We will provide everything you need to get underway and then support you and your team on an ongoing basis.

Everyone involved in your franchise will need to be motivated to deliver the style and standard of care we provide, it’s not an average care position, it’s far better than that and the people who work within your franchise need to be carefully selected by you.
