Welcoming Mandeep and Sal to the Driver Hire franchise territory in Leicester

Mandeep and Sal Bassi are our latest franchisees to join the Driver Hire network.

They’ve recently completed the purchase of our Leicester office from long-standing owners, Paul and Shirley McKenna.

“We both felt it was time for a change. We’re really excited by the prospect of running our own Driver Hire franchise,” says Sal. “As with any business, it will be a challenge. We’re retaining the staff employed by Paul and Shirley so, together, we make a great team.”

Mandeep added:

 “A Driver Hire franchise attracted us because it’s a strong brand with an excellent reputation. What also attracted us is that there is support from the franchisor but sufficient leeway to enable us to put our own stamp on the business.”

Running their own business is going to be a big career change for both Mandeep and Sal. Before opting to buy their Driver Hire franchise, Mandeep was a solicitor and Sal worked in accountancy. However, it isn’t Sal’s first experience of running her own business. Before moving into accountancy, Sal worked in her parents’ family business.
