Making the leap from employee to franchisee with My Property Pros

My Property Pros (MPP) has kicked off 2025 with a bang, welcoming the first of several new recruits. Exciting for the brand and fellow franchisees alike, the latest member of the UK network is none other than former MPP Marketing and Operations Coordinator, 24-year-old Aidan Davis. With a deep knowledge of MPP’s values and operations, Aidan’s new South Belfast and Lisburn territory is primed for success from day one!

Aidan’s adventure began nearly four years ago as a part-time employee for his dad – the MPP franchisee in Newtownabbey. Later, after an impressive work experience opportunity at head office, MPP founders, Karen and Dave Prewer, offered the young star a full-time role, in which he thrived! From rolling up his sleeves out on the road to supporting franchisee launches, running local marketing campaigns and attending film shoots, Aidan’s had a front-row seat to MPP’s growth and innovation. But it was the game-changing success of the brand’s roof cleaning trials in January 2024 that really sparked his vision.

“I’ve always loved the franchise, having seen it from franchisee and franchisor perspective. But after those early trials, the idea of becoming a franchisee shot from the back, straight to the front of my mind. I could hardly believe what I was seeing – the future was suddenly obvious to me. All I had to do then was pluck up the courage to tell the team what I wanted to do!”

“We were obviously sad to lose such a key player and he hasn’t been easy to replace, but we’re all incredibly proud to see him stepping into franchise ownership,” explains founder Karen. “Aidan’s dedication speaks volumes – he spent Boxing Day cleaning his own roof and closed £1,000 in work on the same day by signing up a neighbour. He had two more roof jobs lined up by January and hadn’t even officially launched!”

Aidan’s decision to invest in the business speaks volumes about the franchise and reinforces franchisee confidence – after all, when someone who knows the inner workings of the brand believes in it enough to take the leap themselves, it’s a powerful endorsement of the model’s success and potential.

Like many MPP franchisees, Aidan’s business will be a real family affair. “My partner Jenna and I have been looking to move in together, but we figured – why not go all in and go after something even bigger for ourselves! So, we’ve invested our savings into the franchise and will use the business as a vehicle to buy our dream home in a few years. Jenna will take over the marketing, and my mum – who left a 25-year career to join dad’s business, will manage the admin. Together, we’re going to build something extraordinary!” said Aidan.

With record-breaking franchise growth now the norm, and franchisees achieving £1,000+ turnover a day through roof cleaning and commercial work, Aidan’s five-year plan is all about thinking big! He’s aiming for a multi-van operation within the year with a long-term a goal of taking over the whole of Northern Ireland alongside his dad.

“Aidan’s journey is exactly what MPP is all about – passion, ambition, and seizing opportunity. Seeing one of our own take the leap just proves how strong this brand is, and we can’t wait to watch him thrive!" said Karen.

“I can’t wait to get stuck into the physical work, be outdoors and build something of my own” added Aidan, who officially hits the road in February. “The franchisors work unbelievably hard to support us and are so passionate about helping the network thrive. You can see that in the growth of franchisees across the country. My dad’s friend went solo at the same time dad started his franchise, and even after all these years, dad’s business is over four times the size. That’s the power of a franchise – a springboard to success with all the right tools and support in place.”

2024 was a transformational year for MPP, with an exciting rebrand and revolutionary new services added to the model. Franchisees have experienced record growth levels, and new franchisees launching under the MPP banner have seen average turnover increase by a staggering 485% in their first two months alone.
