Let's get to know Clarriots Care Franchisee, Harpeet
Before Harpreet came into franchising, she worked in marketing and brand experience for 15 years, working her way up from Account Executive to Account Director. Prior to this, she studied Business Studies at university, majoring in marketing. Harpreet believes that the wealth of marketing experience she has will help her to really hit the ground running.
Harpreet’s Previous Experience With Care:
Around 2002, Harpreet had her own experience with care as her Nan unfortunately suffered a stroke, leaving her unable to live independently. Subsequently, this meant her Nan had to move into the family home, and Harpreet’s Mum had to become her full-time carer to support her. Around 8 years later, it all became a bit too much for her Mum and she had a nervous breakdown. With the home becoming a hospital and lack of free time for her Mum, Harpreet’s Nan sadly ended up going into a care home. An unfortunate story that happens to thousands of people throughout the UK.
“I believe that, had my mum been educated on the options she had and what facilities were available to her in the market, things could have been a lot different and my Nan could have stayed in her own home.”
Becoming Her Own Boss:
Despite never owning her own business before, Harpreet feels that this will not leave her at a disadvantage as her previous experience has allowed her to reflect on the way on which she would like her employees and clients to be treated. This not only improves the quality of her client’s lives but also the lives of her staff. A philosophy the Clarriots Care franchise brand feels strongly about.
The Priorities Of A New Franchise Owner:
I want to ensure I have a stable foundation for my business, and establish a good reputation in the community with a strong network of clients as well as an excellent team of carers. I think these things will help my business grow from strength to strength.
Already well underway through the Clarriots Care franchise set up process, Harpreet has not only started to build strong foundations within her community, she has also been able to market her new franchise business successfully with the setup of her branded office.
Harpreet has already made a massive impact within the Clarriots Franchise network by taking part in the Clarriots Franchise Development meetings (where we give our Franchise Owners a voice) as well as bringing strong ideas to the development of her care franchise business.
How Harpreet Found Clarriots:
“When I was looking into franchising opportunities I did quite a lot of research and looked at a wide variety of companies. I found that the Clarriots Care franchise was a brand that stood out from the crowd and offered me real room for growth. I saw a lot of potential in their opportunity and I decided that I really wanted to work with the Clarriots franchise team and see what we could both bring to the table, in order to offer a high-quality care service.”
The Benefits Of Franchise Training:
Harpreet has been an exceptional student at Clarriots Academy gaining an overall test score of 93%. Not only has she passed with flying colours, she has been able to take what she has learnt in training and use it to build strong foundations of her business. Quality Assurance & Compliance Manager, Kirsty Barnes, who delivered the training that has helped sculpt Harpreet’s success so far had this to say:
“I have been privileged to train and develop many Franchisees and employees during my time here at Clarriots and throughout all the great Franchises we have built Harpreet is one of the ones that inspires myself to do my job and gives me that drive to love what I do.”
