Who are Goldstar Gymnastics?

Goldstar Active was founded in October 2010 by co-owners Laura Kitney and Caroline Woodcock. With combined experience of teaching gymnastics to local client of almost 40 years, Laura and Caroline spent the early years of the club coaching recreational classes from satellite venues including sports halls and village halls.

We first began teaching classes from South Hunsley Sports Centre, Melton, East Yorkshire. As our membership grew, we branched out into other local venues and soon ran classes at South Cave Sports Centre, Cottingham Pavilion and Warner’s Health Club across the region.

Within the first three years, our membership grew to approximately 200 gymnasts allowing us to accrue significant funds and we soon recognised that our own premises were needed to support our continued growth.

During your time as a Franchisee of Goldstar Active, you may find yourself with some queries, from being better able to provide customer or staff satisfaction, dealing with finances or funding opportunities or needing HR and marketing advice. Whatever your query may be, we would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our senior management team and identify who may be best able to help you at any given time. Please find below our key managers and their roles/ expertise within the franchise along with their contact details to guide you in their direction.

All franchisees will receive:

• Use of our recognised Goldstar branding
• Use of our proven Goldstar Gymnastics’ business model
• Assistance with identifying suitable venues and the completion of hire agreements
• Assistance with the provision of merchandise and equipment
• Initial set-up training and on site/ face to face help and assistance
• Ongoing support via video/ telephone calls (at least quarterly)
• An initial ‘How To Guide’ for use as a point of reference
• Shared business contacts to set up all functionality and facilities
• Ongoing quarterly meetings with the franchisors to review business models, workings, figures and profit margins.
