Envirogroup have shown how much they care about my success

Graham told Franchise Supermarket how the dedication of the company’s franchise team has helped him alleviate the stresses of starting his own business.

After a long and successful career in the Lancashire police force Graham retired in 2012 with a burning desire to run his own business. Graham explained what he was looking for in his new life as a franchisee: “I already had a successful cleaning business so wanted something to compliment it. I also wanted something I could run as a manager and I had to be able to believe in the product and of course get along with the franchisor.”

Like many individuals who have made this leap, the process can be a lot less daunting with the right help and support the franchisor can offer. “I spent a week in Ireland, training and receiving my accreditation as well as training on the system that Envirogroup utilise,” Graham continued, “The training was very hands on and prepared me to go out alone. As I was one of the first franchisees the process has been refined and adapted and is much more thorough, and now available in England.”

Importantly, this level of support didn’t change once Graham was up and running as he explains: “They have always been very supportive, so if I felt I needed additional help it was always there for me. In particular, when it came to quoting big jobs or looking for additional training and support.”

Less than three years into his new career and already Graham is experiencing major growth in his network: “I have just put a 2^nd van on the road and at current growth we will put a third one on before the end of the year. The business is growing and developing well.”

When we asked what the future plans are for the business, Graham was more than happy to tell us that, “The business will start to employ additional staff in sales and admin roles to support the operational team. Which will allow me to spend more time on strategy.”

Graham wrapped things up by telling us who he thinks would suit this type of franchise: “A person who can deal with the sales and any problems that may occur at the beginning, as well as someone with a good network.”
