Michael Crane, the founder and owner of Crane Business Solutions, based in London, is offering inspiration and advice to help
entrepreneurs and business owners grow their business and get more clients and
customers.
In a series of blog posts focusing on the Entrepreneurial
Mindset, Crane addressed several ways in which entrepreneurs can increase their
business success. The most important part, he argues, is the entrepreneurial
mindset. There are certain characteristics that are supporting success and make
it more likely. Some mindset features, on the other hand, while helpful in
employees, can easily sabotage entrepreneurial success.
At the core of an entrepreneurial mindset lies the
importance of values. And the word "Values" or its singular version,
"Value" can have multiple meanings. They all are crucial when it
comes to achieve success.
Entrepreneurs and business owners should be aware of their
core values and keep them in mind when they make business decisions. In
addition, they need to focus on providing value to their customers - and the
community.
To support their focus on value, it is helpful to associate
primarily with people who share their values, at least when it comes to their
inner circle and their key team members. The more their values are represented
in their company, the more likely they are to lead to success.
In another post, Crane addresses the issue of fear, and how
successful entrepreneurs deal with it. Being a business owner can have its
challenging moments, and yet, a positive mindset is crucial to navigating those
challenges. This means that an entrepreneur must know how to manage fear and
function successfully in spite of it. As Susan Jeffers said in the title of her
book, "Feel the fear and do it anyway."
In his newest post, Crane points out three key mistakes that
can sabotage business success. The interesting thing is that they do not seem
such big mistakes at first sight, yet they can lead to problems if not
contained.
One of the mistakes is "Thinking too much." While
thinking is generally considered a good thing, overthinking can lead to
perfectionism and procrastination.
Said Crane, "Even Apple keeps launching updated
versions of its iPhone year after year. Had they held off until they had the
perfect product, we'd still be waiting for it." The same is true for just
about all of the most successful products out there, including cars, software,
computers, and more.
