Deputy Head swaps classroom for boardroom to launch new eco-friendly housekeeping business
With 20 years of experience in the education sector, Ipswich based Alison Chilvers has today started her new journey by swapping the classroom for the boardroom with the launch of her new eco-friendly professional housekeeping franchise, Bright & Beautiful, covering Ipswich, Bury St. Edmunds and surrounds.
Prior to becoming a new franchise owner, Alison enjoyed a successful career in education, teaching thousands of students at various schools across her home-county of Suffolk and Norfolk. Having spent the last seven years working as a Deputy Headteacher, while struggling to juggle family life, and acting as school governor in her spare time, Alison decided she wanted a change of career that would give her greater control over her own schedule and workload, whilst still helping people.
Though she found her time working in education very fulfilling, Alison felt the time was right to accomplish her lifelong ambition of starting her own business and to deliver a premium domestic housekeeping service for clients across Ipswich and Bury St. Edmunds.
Launched today on 3 September, Alison is accompanied by her trusted team of three local professional housekeepers, all of whom have been carefully selected, referenced and DBS checked, and working in teams to ensure reliability and client peace of mind. The team deliver a bespoke and tailored service that offers cleaning, tidying, laundry and ironing to the highest standards of security and service and only use eco-friendly products and equipment to ensure they protect the health of their clients, their children and the team.
“I came across Bright & Beautiful after reading an article about women in business and felt inspired to take control of my own destiny. I fell in love with the brand as soon as I saw the modern, colourful website and learnt about their ethical ethos and standards. When I noticed there was territory available in my local area, I just knew I had to take the opportunity. I’ve had plenty of experience of hiring cleaning services in the past and have always been disappointed; I was fed up of having to constantly ask for things to be done when, really, a high-quality cleaning service should be able to do it all without having to be asked. I’m very happy to be helping people who are struggling to juggle work and home-life by delivering a first-class service, that always delivers its promises, to the local community.”
