Ableworld Franchise Director to climb Kilimanjaro for charity
Paul Boniface of Ableworld, one of the country's largest mobility retailers and stair lift providers will be tackling Mount Kilimanjaro head on, all in aid of generating valuable funds for charity. The climb will take place this September and you still have time to show your support to Paul.
Hello, my name is Paul Boniface, Franchise Director at Ableworld. This year I celebrate my 65th birthday. But rather than retire and go on a cruise I shall be celebrating my new found super-youth by not retiring and, with 12 other people, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of four great causes. So I am trading in warmth, relaxation and beer for a demanding physical challenge, sub-zero temperatures and five litres of water a day. And I couldn’t be happier to do so as the trip will be helping four wonderful community organisations. Thanks for any donation you make – it means a lot to me personally and more importantly a lot to the four amazing organisations we are raising money for:
1) The Wingate Centre - the centre provides amazing support and life-enriching opportunities for young people with all levels of physical and learning disability or who are otherwise disadvantaged. It really is a life changing centre for young people
2) Mid Cheshire Hospital Charity - Their aim is to provide additional healthcare facilities to families and children over and above that available via the NHS. It fundraises for equipment and is currently raising funds to support Dementia Care at Leighton Hospital.
3) RedShift Youth Activities - A non-profit community hub and online radio station that provides opportunities to young people age 8 - 21 and helps to improve the 3 C’s (Confidence, Collaboration and Communicationskills).
4) C.R.Y (Cardiac Risk in the Young) - 2 young people a week, aged 14-35, die from undiagnosed heart defects. We are raising funds to screen young people for heart defects. These screenings have already proved to be lifesaving. Each screening costs £50 and your donation could help save the life of one or more young person.
