A day in the life... Daily Poppins Franchise
So what is it like being a Daily Poppins Franchise? We spoke to one of our franchisees and asked them to relay a typical day as a Daily Poppins Franchisee....
“The alarm rings at 7am. I am not the best in the mornings so working from home is probably a good idea for me. After breakfast and a shower, I double check that the packs for the cleaning teams are all at hand. They arrive at around 8.15am, I have a quick chat with the team leaders and some of the staff, give the team leaders their journey plans, keys and any additional materials and they head off by 8.35.
I say bye bye to the kids as they head off to school.
Time for me to look at my own diary. I see I have a customer appointment at 3.15 this afternoon. I start off the day however with some administration. It does not take long as it is all computerised. I record some information and register payments and before Iong, it is just after 9.15am and I am finished.
Before continuing with the rest of my day’s plans, I put the dirty cloths in the washing machine while at the same time transferring some washed cloths into the tumble dryer.
It is now 9.30 and time for a quick coffee before I head out to buy some products just before 10. I look the management system on my iPad and see which jobs I can conduct a surprise quality check on one of the teams.
It is now 12 and I was happy with the spot check on team 3. I receive a message from our call centre to follow up a customer enquiry which I missed while on the telephone answering another enquiry. It is good having the call centre for over flow calls as it ensures nothing is missed. That’s me just arranged another appointment.
After I empty the tumble dryer and fold the cloths refilling from the washing machine, I then sit down in my kitchen for lunch before starting some marketing work. I write a letter targeting a specific business opportunity I have seen in town and then think what other businesses can receive a similar letter. This takes me to around 3pm as I interrupted a few times with more customer enquiries. Time to head out on my appointment which ultimately ends with a regular fortnightly clean.
Back at 4pm and I plan out tomorrow and organise the journey plans, keys etc. I empty the tumble dryer, get the paperwork ready just in time for 4.20pm when the kids return from school.”
